As an alliance of principals from Queensland's 250 Independent Public Schools (IPS), we pursue a collective commitment to leading and improving outcomes across our school communities.
Over the past 4 years, our Alliance has grown from 26 schools commencing as IPS in 2013 to 250 schools in 2017. We own our joint responsibility to work for the benefit of young people in every school.
As an agile and forward-thinking alliance, we continue to develop our work together, increasing the depth of our partnerships and the strength of the challenges we pursue.
When we work together to lead, innovate and inspire learning across our schools, we contribute to a self-improving school system.
This is a key part of our legacy as Independent Public Schools in Queensland.
'I have followed developments in the Independent Public Schools (IPS) initiative from its introduction, not just from afar but also through on-the-ground research in Queensland over the last three years. I was delighted several months ago to receive an invitation to spend a day with you and to learn more of the work of the IPS Alliance. I consider the initiative to be one of the most significant of its kind anywhere and schools and school systems have as much to learn from you as you do in learning of what is happening around the world.'
