Leadership focus group
Through the work of 35 schools as part of an IPS Alliance Leadership Focus Group commencing in 2017, the Alliance has supported a deeper understanding of the strategies making a difference in terms of leadership development, classroom practices and student outcomes.
This work has deepened our understanding of the most powerful drivers for improvement in schools, the partnerships that are most valued and what leadership qualities and attributes are important for school leaders in an Independent Public School (IPS).
As an important part of this ongoing work, many schools are contributing case studies to Queensland's Evidence Hub, a leading initiative by the Queensland Department of Education to provide examples of effective practice and research about school improvement.
